I'm a wedding photojournalist based in Las Vegas, with a huge desire to see the world.

I’m a silly goose who found her passion early in life and was crazy enough to pursue the idea of sharing it with the world. I don’t believe in such a thing as “too much” when it comes to expressions of love – especially when it’s a Las Vegas elopement!

I earned my bachelors and masters degrees in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, *cough cough* known as the best journalism school in the nation. Throughout my schooling, I trained closely with award-winning photojournalists Rita Reed and David Rees, and I’ve worked with organizations like the Washington Post, USA Today, The Nature Conservancy, and Trust for Public Land.

In my limited spare time, you can find me starting new businesses, hiking in the mountains, eating Del Taco, or practicing my piano and guitar skills.

I always thought I’d end up as a National Geographic photographer chasing down wildlife (a la Tiger King), but I think my job now is way better.

My journey to becoming a wedding photographer was a tad accidental. It began in 2014 when I had contacted a local wedding photographer to be a subject in a project on small business ownership. After I completed my project, she offered me a side job helping out at her photo sessions. What started as an easy minimum wage job grew rapidly, and two years later, she had me managing her company nearly full time. By 2017, I had dreams of leaving my small town in Missouri and moving somewhere coastal that following year.

SURPRISE! I pitched this to her, and she fired me instead. But this turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me, because a year later, I was flying everywhere to document weddings across the country, and even internationally, which took me to Nicaragua, D.C, Arizona, and Hawaii, just to name a few.

It’s been a wild ride, but all of these experiences have made me the kick-ass wedding photographer you see in front of you. 💥

I’m an enneagram type 1, an ENFJ, and an empath. I’ll make sure your timeline is organized so you get the most photos from your day, but I’ll also totally cry happy tears during your first dance.

The perfect balance, amiright?

Fun Facts

I am an ENFJ and my love language is words of affirmation.

I’ve moved 20+ times in my few short decades on earth.

Cats have been my favorite animal since I was a little one, and now I have three of them!

I first learned photography on my mom’s Ricoh 35mm film camera that she got in Germany as a teenager.

I wear black 90% of the time. Wednesday Addams is my home girl.

In an alternate universe, I’m a sommelier living in Ireland.

I studied French for 10 years, and I’m still only decent at it.

I lost count of how many times I dyed my hair after I got to #60. I'm not sure how I'm not bald.

I'm a trained opera singer, and music was my first love before photography.

And just in case it isn’t abundantly clear by now, you should know that:

I believe Black lives matter.
I believe all love is valid and valued.
I believe in science and have been fully vaccinated since February 2021.

“She was the best hype person, entertainment, and advice-giver on the big day.

Amber killed it (or as my young sister-in-law says, she "ate" – whatever that means) and I cannot recommend her enough. If you don't book Amber, you're missing out.”
