Mansion 54 Las Vegas Wedding | Sunny Summer Las Vegas Wedding
Megan and Zac had every wrench imaginable thrown at them during wedding planning. But did they let those wrenches affect their wedding day? Absolutely not.
These two got engaged during the 2019 holiday season and initially envisioned a desert wedding ceremony with a small reception at a cute Airbnb. Then something crazy happened in the beginning of 2020 – you might remember it? The wedding boom that ensued booked up their preferred venue, but they took it in stride and pivoted their entire wedding plans. And ya know what? They still ended up with a classically Vegas wedding, complete with a vintage car!
Here’s what Megan had to say when she first got in touch with me about documenting her Las Vegas wedding:
“Zac and I met in college... our story here isn’t so cute; We met on Tinder. But, talk about “hitting it off.” This nerdy, Star-Wars-loving, so-not-my-type cutie had me feeling like I had never felt before. Jump to five years later (almost to the day!) and we have a fur baby (Kanan- yes, that’s a Star Wars name), have lived together for three years, and are currently looking to relocate together to be close to friends and family in Indianapolis. House buying and wedding planning at the same time... oh my!”
As soon as I read this, I knew I had to be part of their incredible day! (Don’t worry, they relocated just fine, and we did their engagement session in Indianapolis, which you can see here!)
The day started at Mansion 54, which has been standing and operating under different names in Las Vegas since the 1940s. As a venue that’s been performed in by big stars like Willie Nelson, Ginger Rogers, and Elvis (not to mention the movie that was filmed here), you couldn’t really get more Vegas than this! Everyone was getting ready as the mimosas flowed, and pretty quickly, it became time to get the show on the road. Megan had a first look with her father before seeing Zac, and then Zac gave a gift to his future mother-in-law. We took some bomb ass photos as the bright sun glowed behind everyone before running back inside to freshen up. It was, after all, June in Las Vegas. You can imagine how roasty toasty it was.
I always say that I cry at every wedding, and I’m not kidding. But this one? I sobbed mid-ceremony as Zac recited his (memorized!!) vows to Megan. I’ve gotten really good at photographing mid-tears, don’t worry. :)
They were finally pronounced married and it was time to celebrate!! We snapped some more photos and jetted over to Rhythms Events Center to chow down on some amazing food truck food and dance the night away (and maybe cry some more… it’s fine!).
Major congrats to these two sweeties. Cannot wait to see where life takes you two!
