Lord of the Rings Grand Canyon Wedding

So here’s the thing. I’m a wedding photographer (obvi). But before I was this badass traveling wedding photographer, I was a regular old person who went to college and worked part-time at Olive Garden to fund my never-ending boba addiction.

During said era, I met a lovely soul named Megan who craved nothing more than adventure in her life. By the time we had both quit the OG, she was essentially working on visiting every country in the world. It was honestly so inspirational to watch her live out her dream by living in Paris for a while after finishing her degree. She was gearing up to move to Australia for 6 months with her best friend when the unthinkable happened – her best friend’s passport was stolen. They had to scrap the entire plan and instead started roadtripping around the West, where they landed in the Grand Canyon, and Megan met the love of her life, Cody.

Their relationship was a whirlwind, and the two each knew that the other was special so quickly. They bonded over their love of nature, adventure, and most importantly, the Lord of the Rings. They fell madly and deeply for each other, and before they knew it, they were planning a wedding. And shortly after, Cody popped the question.

They immediately knew that the Grand Canyon was where they needed to get married to celebrate the foundation of their relationship. And what better elements to include than adventure and Lord of the Rings?

The two held a spiritual ceremony incorporating Megan's Mom's favorite Bible verse, with Tolkien lore incorporated. They also planted a tree in a pot using dirt from both of their home states, as well as the Grand Canyon, to symbolize their homes and where they met and fell in love.

I’m sure you can already imagine how perfect this wedding is going to be. And you know what would make it better? If Chipotle catered it. Anyway! This is a perfect wedding and you’ll absolutely adore it.

If you’re planning a Grand Canyon wedding, or a Lord of the Rings wedding, or both, you know who to call to photograph your wedding.
