Midnight Halloween Elopement | Nighttime Las Vegas Desert Wedding

Sometimes I meet couples and I wonder how our paths hadn’t crossed sooner. Jenn and Dan are one of those couples.

Jenn and I first chatted after bonding over our mutual love for a true crime comedy podcast. I asked her some questions about Dan – how they met, her favorite things about him, ya know, the good stuff – and soon after, we were both getting a little misty eyed as she recounted all of the ways he’s exactly what she needs.

Having never been to Vegas before, Jenn wanted some assistance with booking everything, so I put on my planner hat and got to work! I found her dream team of vendors for hair, makeup, and the officiant, and I’m honestly not sure it could’ve been more perfect. We planned a midnight Halloween elopement, so the two could say, “I do,” under the full moon as the clock struck midnight. It was magical, to say the least.

My favorite hair and makeup vendors started their evening helping Jenn get ready before she and Dan had a private little first look in the hallway of their Airbnb. All of their friends and family members from across the country flew in to be with them, so they all met up at the house for a pre-ceremony dinner. We did some sweet family photos in front of Jenn’s beautiful backdrop, and then the three of us set off to Fremont Street for some amazing photos.

Soon after, we headed back to their house for a champagne toast, and before we knew it, we were driving out to the Las Vegas desert where my friend and assistant, Katelyn (and her hubs, Alex), had set up their beautiful ceremony spot. Jenn told me she really wanted to bring in Pagan and Witchy elements to her Halloween ceremony. As circles are often seen as protective barriers in the Wiccan religion, I wanted the couple to be surrounded in a circle, both on the ground and behind them.

Amanda from Sandbox Weddings held an incredibly thoughtful ceremony, calling on every element to surround and protect this couple and their relationship, and the two sealed their commitment with vows, rings, and a hand fasting ceremony.

The next day, we all got together for freshly cooked brunch, provided by Dan, Jenn’s eyelash fell off and we had to do some reconstructive surgery, and we got some extra sweet photos to cap off an incredible weekend.

Thank you so much, Jenn and Dan, for trusting me with the biggest day of your relationship. I’m beyond grateful to have gotten to know you two, and I cannot wait to see what this world brings you two!
