Seven Magic Mountains Sunrise Elopement | Las Vegas Elopement

LISTEN. One of the biggest rules when it comes to eloping here is “Your day, your way.” So if you contact me saying you want to get married on the 10th anniversary of your first date with your favorite person as the sun rises in Las Vegas, my answer is going to be HELL YES.

Hailing from Scotland, Joanne and Paul met at work all the way back in 2013. They flirted for a few weeks before he mustered up the courage to ask her for a drink, and the rest, as they say, is history! When they started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something that really reflected them.

“The trip we're taking is a gift I gave him for his 50th birthday (he's into aliens so we're sort of doing an alien tour of the US!) and we wanted to get married away from home and everyone we know, as we just want him and I to be able to enjoy the moment and celebrate our love together,” Joanne said.

But first we need to go back to how they got engaged, because it’s so uniquely them!

“We had talked about getting engaged for a while, then we went to an antique centre in Perthshire, and he bought a ring,” Joanne said. “It went off to get resized then when it arrived he put it on *that* finger. Then a few days later I was like ‘hold on... are we engaged?!’ and he replied ‘...I think so?’ haha!”

Nothing like the engagement being a surprise for BOTH people in the relationship!!

We met with Berlynn of Peachy Keen Unions at the bright and early time of 5 a.m. in the parking lot of the Seven Magic Mountains. The biggest benefit of a sunrise elopement at this spot is the lack of people that are there at that time, so you get this lovely desert spot all to yourself! These two said their vows, and we celebrated with some photos in the desert as the sun crested over the horizon! If these photos aren’t proof enough of their deep love for each other, this quote from Joanne really seals it:

“Some days I want to murder him for being so annoying. Other days I want to smoosh him to death for being so cute. Whatever mood I'm in, he's in danger.”
