Windswept Intimate Elopement | Seven Magic Mountains | Las Vegas, NV
Whatβs that old saying? βWhen you know, you know.β Katie and Joe just knew.
I knew from the start that these two had such a sweet love between the two of them. Katieβs opening line in her email to me was, βWe are just best friends who get on each otherβs nerves a lot of the time but thatβs love isnβt it?!β
Yes, thatβs exactly what love is haha.
These two had a whirlwind of a time trying to get married, as per usual when it came to wedding planning in 2020. Katie and Joe had a wedding planned for July 2020 in Glacier National Park in Montana, and they were very excited to have 40 of their closest friends and family there. They did a ton of wedding planning for that event that sadly never happened (thanks, rona).
Since then, they had been dreading planning another wedding, and they said they thought stressing over a wedding was the silliest thing. (amen!) So, a Vegas elopement it was!!! Katie told me, βJoe and I have decided itβs time to pull the trigger and do this thing! We want to buy a house, start a family (share insurance π€£) etc.β
The thing about 2020 weddings getting postponed or canceled is it often turns into couples re-evaluating whatβs truly important to them. This is what I find so truly magical about elopements β they really are so much more personal and about YOU as the couple, rather than all the bells and whistles that a wedding includes. Suddenly, your only concerns are what youβre wearing and who will be there. The rest is just (biodegradable) confetti.
So the day finally came and it was just a small group of 8 people in the Las Vegas desert in front of the Seven Magic Mountains. The Las Vegas wind was in full force, as you can tell by Katieβs beautiful windswept dress. Angie from Peachy Keen Unions delivered a beautiful ceremony, the two exchanged their very personal vows (at which point I happy cried a little bit), and they were soon pronounced married! We did a few extra photos around the Seven Magic Mountains before they jetted off with their parents for a celebratory dinner β just look at that amazing golden light!
Congrats to these two! I am beyond excited for your future together, and I hope you get some serious insurance deals now! π
