New Adventures in New Places | Destination Elopement Inspiration

Visiting a new place is a breath of fresh air. As a destination elopement photographer based in Las Vegas, and a travel photographer throughout the states, I know Vegas (and many cities) like the back of my hand. That means I sometimes get in a groove that leaves me feeling a little stuck. But joining my destination elopement couples as we head to a brand new location, with a fresh perspective and a full cup of creative energy? It’s a recipe for some of my favorite sessions!

When couples reach out about booking me for an international elopement, there’s sometimes some hesitancy if I’ve never been to their chosen location. But there’s no need to worry! Travelling is my jam and travelling to do what I love? Even better!

A new destination never fails to bring me new inspiration, both in the photos I capture abroad with my couples and when I come home and jump back into exploring my favorite local haunts. Every new location I visit for international photoshoots is a blank slate. This means I can give every couple my full creative focus without getting tied to a certain look or location.

One of my favorite things about being a travel elopement photographer? When I find a unique spot hidden in the streets of Milan, my creative eye gets even better at seeing similar places back in Vegas. Just when I think I’ve seen it all, a quick trip overseas for a destination elopement or engagement session reminds me that there’s no end to the beauty around me.
