Elope at Sure Thing Chapel | Las Vegas Elopement Tips

Charlotte and Jake’s elopement was the epitome of what so many people imagine when they say they’re eloping in Las Vegas; They were in town from the UK for a few days with family and — without telling a soul — they ran off to get married by Lady Elvis herself! These two cool cats were so prepared to make their classic Las Vegas elopement easy as could be that I though I’d share my favorite tips on how to have a smooth elopement day yourself:

• Bring a comfy pair of shoes to walk to the venue in — think a pair of sneakers or sandals you toss in your bag once we get there. Or, these may be your wedding shoes themselves if you choose something comfy for your big day!

• Have a Go-Bag with emergency essentials like snacks, essential makeup, a stain remover pen, and even a change of clothes if you think you might want them. You’d rather have it and not need it than the other way around! Check out my breakdown on good stuff to include here!

• If you’re a planner, have a plan in mind. If you’re a go-with-the-flow type, have a general idea of what you want to accomplish then trust the universe to treat you right! Either way, prepare for plans to change last minute and know that we’ll still have the best time.

• Trust your photographer (that’s me!!) and let your guard down! Don’t worry about every moment being and looking perfect. Just enjoy yourself and your love and I’ll capture every minute of it.

Elopements are the epitome of doing things your way, and that’s exactly what Charlotte and Jake did. They came prepared with comfy walking shoes and a bag of backup essentials and had their whole day planned out: get ready, get married, and get to celebrating!

After a quick trek out to the desert for some Red Rock elopement photos, we hit up Fremont Street after their elopement ceremony at Sure Thing Chapel, then boogied over to Evel Pie Pizza for some slices to fill our bellies after all the excitement. Overall, you couldn’t ask for much more in a perfect elopement day!
