Making the Most of Your Intimate Elopement | Las Vegas Elopement

Hey, friends! It’s me, your favorite Las Vegas elopement photographer, with your regular reminder that elopements are whatever you make them! Today, let’s dive in to one of my favorite types: intimate elopements! Intimate elopements, or mini-elopements, are marriage ceremonies that focus solely on the to-be-weds, usually with few to no guests, no reception or vendors, or any of the traditional jazz. If you’re considering an intimate elopement but worry you may wish you had done more, here are a few ways to make the most of yours:

First, and most important: remember why you’re eloping in the first place. Give yourselves a mantra, a token, or even a fun handshake to do throughout the day to remind yourself that you’re in this whole “life” thing together. That way, no matter what hurdles or bumps pop up through your day, you know you’ve got each other’s backs.

If you decide to keep the guest list to an absolute minimum, you can always have a party later for everyone else! For whatever reason—travel limits or avoiding hurt feelings or stress—you may choose to not invite anyone and keep the day just for you and your closest loved ones, whether that’s your parents or best friends or siblings. I love this idea for anyone who wants the Vegas elopement experience without the stress of booking a big venue and coordinating a big crowd.

Finally, my favorite way to guarantee you have a good time—and leave with tons of great memories—is booking an elopement photoshoot (duh!). We’ll boogie all over Vegas or caravan out to the desert to capture all the love and laughter you’re feeling. Any time you look back on your photos, you’ll be transported right back to that moment, when you were just two crazy kids who eloped in Las Vegas and loved every minute of it.
