Fly Me to Oshkosh | Travel Engagement Photographer

Nat and Haley’s engagement session was extra special for me. Why, you ask? Because Nat is a dear friend of mine! We met through my then-partner’s workplace and stayed close after my move to Vegas, shortly after which he met the amazing Haley (at work once again) and now they get to live happily ever after!

To capture their engagement session as a wedding gift to them both, we returned to where their fairytale began: Oshkosh, Wisconsin! When people ask me what my favorite part of being a photographer is, I have to say that, honestly, getting to be a travel elopement and wedding photographer all over the country and beyond for this job is truly the bee’s knees! While Oshkosh doesn’t sound like the exotic getaway everyone imagines, to me it’s all about the story I find when I get there, and Nat and Haley’s story is every romantic’s dream-come-true. (Seriously, this couple is so precious — they feel like home together.)

One thing I loved about their session was how much they personalized it to their story. We began at their favorite Oshkosh watering hole, Oblio’s, where much of the quality time of their relationship was spent over drinks and laughter together. The warm buttery light in this place was delicious! Next, we jigged over to the building they were coworkers in and where their story began. This building was SO pretty and so different from my usual Vegas vibes.

Last, to take full advantage of the Wisconsin foliage in the fall, we headed over to the park for some waterfront shots under the trees and where the images of their love really became so tender and sweet. I am so happy for these two lovebugs and I can’t wait to join them for their wedding this fall!
