Couple’s portraits are the perfect time to propose to your partner and it’s an avenue many couples take. You know your partner will be dressed up and feelin’ good, plus you’re guaranteed to get great pictures of your partner’s face the moment you drop to one knee! Then we’ll have lots of fun celebrating and popping bottles in the desert or the streets of Vegas.

I’m normally the one who is super sneaky with surprise proposals, but this time, the couple surprised ME! Michael emailed me the night before saying he planned to propose to Nicole during their session. Nothing like a last-minute pivot to pull off a great session! Then, after Michael popped the question, what does Nicole go and do? She proposes right back!

Strolling around the desert with Nicole and Michael was like a breath of fresh air. They have so much fun together and it’s so clear to see that they’re head-over-heels in love. Add in how stunning the sunset was as it lit the sky on fire and spilled golden light over us, and a girl can’t ask for much more out of a perfect proposal session!

One fun part about Nicole and Michael’s session was the variety they brought to their outfit changes! You don’t have to wear the same outfit through your whole session. If you want some low-key looks in a cute shirt with sneakers, then more serious portraits in formal wear, we can do both! Of course, if you choose an outfit you’re totally obsessed with and want to wear it the whole time, go right ahead — I love the commitment! At the end of the day, your outfit choice is about wearing what you FEEL good in. When you feel good, you look good!
