Gamble on Love | Las Vegas Casino Proposal
You know, is a trip to Vegas really a trip to Vegas without a visit to a casino? The experiences these places offer goes beyond slot machines and Blackjack tables—there are so many unique experiences at each place that every kind of individual can find something that makes their Vegas visit special.
A gondola ride at the Venetian is the perfect example of this. Where else can you get an authentic Italian canal boat experience without the international journey? Gondola rides are also a hotspot for romantic proposals. Floating beneath the bridge, surrounded by beautiful architecture yet feeling the intimate isolation encapsulating you in such a precious moment? It’s unreal every time.
When Curtis reached out to book a proposal session at the Venetian, it reminded me that lots of couples who inquire about photographing at Las Vegas casinos and hotels have no idea what goes into a session like this and whether photography is even allowed at their casino or hotel of choice. Let’s dive into those details here:
Because Las Vegas casinos are all private property, we usually need explicit permission to photograph inside the building. Not only is this to protect other patrons who may be unaware of the presence of a photographer, but it also protects the casinos from a loss of profit that may result from non-authorized content being shared on the internet. Totally understandable!
Photography rules vary big-time from place to place. Sometimes, security and staff will look the other way if it’s clear you’re just taking a few quick pictures for a specific reason, like a proposal or a big win. Others, though, will warn you about photography rules at the door and will enforce these rules to the point of ejection if you try a photo anyway.
If you’re wondering whether your venue of choice will allow us to photograph there, just send me a message! I’ve had lots of experience in and around all of Vegas, so I know whether a spot is a definite no-go, requires a permit, or will let us slide if we’re respectful of others and the property. I can’t wait to hear all about your Las Vegas casino portrait dreams!
